Lutherans. That's who I met today for the first time. I didn't realize there was a Lutheran Church here in Provo. Great people. After that, I went to the duck pond to see what was happenin'. It turns out that's where all the engaged couples go. But the saddest thing is that there are NO SQUIDS OR FISHES there. Only ducks. Ducks filled with lithium and playing with acorns. I sat on the bench and watched them a while. A leaf fell on me lap and so I picked it up and examined it. Leaves are funny things--full of life and death at the same time. The leaf I was holding had once been green and flirtatious. Now it was just a brown piece of air. I guess what I'm getting at is that, no matter who you are, there is always something you can do to understand your neighbor. Take a walk in their shoes. You'll probably see things that you've only ever dreamed of.
Have you ever noticed why snow falls in flakes, and yet, we eat frosted flakes with milk? To me, it's just another sign that society is losing its fight against moral relativism. How can we eat the same things we feel falling on us from the sky above? I've decided to change my way of thinking and acting--I'm going to boycott all magazines and toaster tarts, no matter how much I crave them. I urge you to do the same. Find something you really care about, and then let it go. Let it sail off into the distant horizon without any hope of ever finding it again. There is a certain strength that comes from letting yourself forget about all those times you stayed up watching the X-Files so you could keep eating cheese curds.
Well, it's time to get back to reality. #dangit.
Love,
Zydrunas F.
